Before Phil and Fiona moved to Scotland in 2011, Phil had an entirely different gliding life.  He learned to fly at the Oxford Gliding Club in 1974, mostly flying from the grass airfield at RAF Weston-on-the-Green.  This selection of stories dates from that era.
